Tutorial: Advents-Calendar with Christmas-Countdown

Advent calendar from mini milk cartons
This calendar consists of 6 mini milk cartons
punch from Stampin up
for each Sunday in Advent and a door for St. Nicholas Day and Christmas Day,
depending a little door
I got the countdown idea from Lou!

Material:
Punch from Stampin up, or alternatively,
you cut your 6 x for this template - is the same size Cardstock,
6 + 6 Brads - 4 mm
24 Eyeletts - 4 mm
1 bell
1 strong wire
1 electric candle
scrap paper
Numbers of 1-24
cardboard
Velcro dots
glue

Instructions:

First off punch or cut your 6 mini milk cartons /. cut as shown - (see picture)
attach adhesive strip on the upper third.

Prick through the Velcro point to make  a hole
attach an Eyelett here
(See below)

Now you stick together 3 boxes, I've used double sided tape
When you have glued 3 boxes together,
glue on top of the second row ....

Now, please cut a piece of cardboard with dimensions: 12.5 x 14.5 cm,
matched by a piece of card stock,
which you glue to the front.
Now you need a piece cardstock which you glue to the rear and the side walls
so that the rear wall is really sturdy.
This piece of cardstock should have the following dimensions: 21 x 14.5 cm.
It should be folded at 4.25 and 16.75 cm.
From above you cut into the fold the right and left out a piece of 6.2 x 4.25.
If you do not do that are above, where the back wall to be open to see sides.
The side panels are just stick to the box sides, do not stand up.
(see below)

We now need the wire - lead it right through from the first box and cut the wire.
On the top end attach the bell.
Glue a piece of scrap paper on the dresser in size: 12.5 x 5 cm,
prick your hole for the wire through it again,
you  now stick  the side panels, the paper size: 5.3 x 8.3 cm.
The front rear wall is also covered with scrap paper:
Have paper 0.5 cm smaller selected as the rear wall. 12.5 x 5.7 cm.
For the base you cut you a piece of cardstock to size 12.5 x 5.3 cm and stick it underneath.
(see below)

Now we have to make the cards for the Countdown
I have used a square punch in size 1 1/4 inches, or 3 x 3 cm.
We need 24 square tiles. I rounded a corner.
The numbers on the cards 1-24 -
I used a Tim Holtz die - and then glued the numbers with adhesive (Xyron).
I then punched all of the cards with an Eyelett and then threaded them onto the wire,
then put the wire into the hole.
(see below)

Next I attached the electric tea light.
My candle had a metal shell around it -
so I chose to wrap the metal shell with a narrow strip of scrap paper and glue it on.
Then decorate the back wall and you are done with your Advent Calendar for adults.
If you make this advent calendar,
please link to me, as always. Thank you.
Big hug
